Miss Christina began dancing at First Class Dance Academy, where she studied with Joey Dowling, Todd Shanks, and Danny Wallace. As a member of their award winning competition team, she received scholarships to join the Joffrey Ballet Trainee Program and Starpower Competition’s Power Pack. She auditioned for Ocean County Vocational Technical School’s Performing Arts Academy and spent her four years of high school studying the fine arts.
At the young age of fifteen, she started teaching her own classes. She fell in love with the passion her students showed towards the arts. In 2013, she was recognized by The State Organization on Arts and Disabilities and was presented with a Governor’s Award and an Arts Excellence Award in dance for acting as a role model and inspiration to all students with disabilities.
After high school she received a full scholarship to attend Georgian Court University as a dance major. While there, she performed as a guest dancer with Hee Rah Yoo and Company at the “2015 Choreographers’ Canvas” in New York City as well as with Puremovement, Cardell Dance Theater and Open Category. She graduated on Deans list in May 2017. Her piece "1in6" was recognized at the American College Dance Association Festival in 2017 and is continually performed at festivals in the area.
Miss Christina continues her dance education by attending Rowan University. She will graduate in May of 2020 and receive her Masters in Theater Arts Administration. She is an active member of Dance New Jersey and now performs with Jill Molinaro Dance Company.
Abena has been dancing since the age of 3 years old. She started her dance training at Dance Dimension in North Brunswick NJ where she studied tap, ballet , jazz, contemporary, and musical theater. While attending Dance Dimension she also competed on their competition team earning multiple high honor awards, and titles in multiple styles. Abena’s love for teaching started at 15 when she began student teaching various styles at Dance Dimension, choreographing for their junior competition, and choreographing multiple styles for her high school dance team. In college Abena has trained under multiple dance companies 10 hairy legs , free space dance, NJ Tap ensemble, Nimbus, & Paul Taylor just to name a few. Abena has also interned at Alvin Ailey Where she closely worked with the director helping choreographers & dancers book master classes all over the world.
Rileigh started dancing at the age of 7 at the Dance Connection, in Atco New Jersey. There Rileigh was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and Pointe. Rileigh competed in competitions with True Talent, Dance Explosion, and Revolution. Rileigh also taught dance to students ages 2-10 at the Dance Connection. Currently Rileigh attends Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. There Rileigh has duel major in Dance Studies, and Elementary Education. In addition to attending class, Rileigh founded The Dance Troupe, at Rider University, and is on the Board of Directors, as Secretary. Her dance studies include History of Dance, and History of Choreography, at The Princeton Ballet School Rileigh continues to study Ballet and combo and other forms of dance to make the best possible opportunities for her students. For the past 14 years Rileigh has been studying dance, and choregraphy, and continues to focus on teaching which has been her lifelong passion.
Sarah began dancing at the age of 2 and danced for 16 years at several studios in Robbinsville, Monroe, South Brunswick, and East Windsor, NJ. During this time, she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She joined Dance Expo when she was 11 years old and continued dancing there for 6 years. During her junior and senior years of high school she was part of the Dance Expo and the Dance Network competition team. She also worked as an assistant in classes and at birthday parties her senior year. After graduating high school, she started working at Dance Expo as a substitute teacher and quickly found a love for teaching. She is now starting her fifth year as a dance teacher. Sarah is always excited to share her knowledge and passion for dance with all her students.
Tracy has had extensive training in the entertainment business. As a child she studied jazz and tap in Montreal, Canada for several years before becoming a ballet and tap instructor for toddlers.
She then joined the prestigious musical theatre company “Children’s Creations” based in Montreal and Toronto. Tracy performed alongside actors who would eventually star in the films X-Men and 300.
While there Tracy performed in over 20 Musicals, two of which she choreographed and one of which she co-wrote.
She toured the US and Canada with the company and also recorded a live album. Upon moving to Boston, Tracy continued her extensive training in Dance, Acting and Voice. She continued her vocal training and was a member of the Boston based all girls pop group "Novelty".
For two years she studied Hip Hop at the prestigious Jeanette Neill Dance Studio in Boston.
Tracy was then selected from over one hundred dancers in an open call audition to be a regular on MTV's popular TV show “Club MTV” In New York City and was a cast member until the show ended in 1993.
Tracy is currently a member of Boston Casting and CP Casting where she took several acting classes. She appeared in two national television commercials and has been an extra in several major films including Fever Pitch with Jimmy Fallon, The Fighter and Ted with Mark Wahlberg, The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington and most recently “Joy” starring Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lawrence.
Tracy returned to teaching in 2007 and taught competitive Jr. & Sr. Hip Hop, Lyrical and Musical Theater where her Musical Theater Team's performance of "Hairspray" won Platinum and highest overall score.
She has done extensive voiceover work for several Boston radio stations and was a vocal instructor, performance and acting coach for seven years. One of Tracy's former vocal students is Kara Hayward star of the Oscar nominated films "Moonrise Kingdom" and "Manchester by the Sea".
Throughout this, Tracy maintained steady employment working in the Music Industry for Capitol Records and working in the radio business in Boston.
Megan began dancing at the age of three at Absolute Dance Co. in Monroe Township, NJ. Her training throughout her dancing career consists of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, and Pointe. At the age of 12 she joined the studio competition team and has won many high score awards and overall awards. She has attended many workshops such as PULSE! Megan graduated from Monmouth University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and is continuing on to obtain her Master’s Degree in social work at Monmouth University. Dance has always been an important part of Megan’s life and she is excited to share her excitement with her students!
At age two Dana started her dance training at Stage Door Dance Studio in Jamesburg, NJ. Her training consists of various styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tap, and pointe. She began dancing competitively when she was seven years old. Throughout her competition career Dana has won many high score awards, overall awards, and special awards. She was a part of National Dance Showcase's Star Champion group as well at Ticket to Broadway's Circle of Stars. She has attended many workshops such as the PULSE and has taken classes with Mia Michaels, Shane Sparks, Dylan Smith, and more! Dana now attends Rutgers University/Mason Gross School of the Arts where she is earning her Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Dietetics and a minor in Dance. Since her first semester at Rutgers, Dana has been a part of the Rutgers Performing Dance Company; a student-run company performing annual winter and spring showcases. She is also a choreographer for the company, choreographing contemporary/modern pieces. Dana has always had a passion for dance and is excited to share her love for the art with her students!
Alex began dancing at the age of three at Stage Door Dance Studio in Jamesburg NJ. By the age of eight she began dancing with the studio's Footlights Dance Company, which competed at both regional and national dance competitions and she also danced at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Alex has performed in several productions of "The Nutcracker" with the Shore Ballet Company. In 2007, while working on a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship from Pace University, Alex began teaching for The Dancer's Edge as well as choreographed dances for the studio's competition team. Dance has always been a passion for Alex and she is excited to continue to share this passion with her students.
Robin began as a Dance Spectrums student when she was 9.. she left to attend the Philadelphia School of Performing Arts and Mason Gross in New Brunswick, NJ. In 1987 she returned as a full time teacher, teaching Intro to Dance, Kindergarten Dance, Jazz, and Lyrical. Her "Party Central" parties are the BEST!!!
